SleepCode

Just as each body is unique, so should no bed be universal. Sleep is not merely a phase of rest, but a profound restoration of the body and mind. For a bed to support this process, it must be precisely tailored to the body shape and needs of the individual. This is what we deliver with our SleepCode products.

3D BODY SCANNING TECHNOLOGY BY RETHINK BEDS

We use a one-of-a-kind 3D body scanning system that maps your body in order to find the mattress and pillow that suit you best.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

  • Scanning is performed in a “low-gravity” position, at a 10-degree angle, which reduces the effects of gravity and allows the body to be seen in its natural resting position.
  • The scanner uses a gently compressible 3D sheet that takes the exact shape of your body, even through clothing.
  • Body shape, weight distribution and posture are analyzed to find the ideal spine position during sleep.

WHY DOES IT MATTER?

Research shows that:

  • Different body types require different support in different areas.
  • Spinal alignment during sleep is directly related to sleep quality.
  • The wrong softness or shape of a mattress may cause tension and pain in the body.
  • The right pillow keeps the neck and shoulders in a natural position.

What do we measure?

Our body scanning technology measures three important elements:

1. SUPPORT

How deeply and evenly the body sinks into the mattress.

A mattress that is too soft: the body sinks into the mattress → the back sinks too.

A mattress that is too hard: the body remains unsupported → an uncomfortable feeling of stiffness.

2. PRESSURE

How the mattress responds to the pressure of different body parts.

For example, if the mattress is unable to support the shoulders and hips separately, the back will sink or become curved.

The scanner calculates the distance between the shoulders and hips and matches it to the properties of the mattress, ensuring that the spine remains naturally straight.

3. PILLOW AND NECK SUPPORT

A pillow is not just a matter of comfort – it supports the neck, shoulders and upper spine.

The scanner measures the distance between the head and shoulder or head and mattress (depending on the position).

It takes into account how much your shoulder sinks into the mattress depending on the firmness of the mattress.

It recommends the correct pillow height, so that your head remains appropriately supported in every position.

Science, not guesswork

The Rethink Beds body scanning technology was developed as part of a research study, and its accuracy was verified through 500 tests and independent biomechanical measurements. The system does not offer general recommendations – it adapts the mattress and pillow precisely to your body.
